- Coloring Page #977 - Red Apple Cut in Half
What is hidden inside an apple? This coloring page lets us take a closer look at the fruit! Beneath its red skin, we can see its pale, juicy flesh and, right in the center, small brown seeds protected inside the apple's core. These seeds can, under the right conditions, grow into new apple trees.
The apple tree is a fruit tree that changes with the seasons. In spring, its branches are covered with white or slightly pink blossoms. After pollination, some of these flowers gradually develop into tiny apples that grow for several months before being harvested, usually in late summer or fall. Before it was cut open, our apple may have looked just like this whole apple to color, complete with its stem and leaf.
There are thousands of apple varieties around the world. Some are red, while others are green or yellow, with flavors ranging from mild and sweet to pleasantly tart. Apples can be eaten fresh, made into applesauce, baked into pies, or pressed to make juice.
For this coloring page, take a close look at the different parts of the fruit and choose your colors before continuing your discovery with our Fruits and Vegetables Coloring Pages.
