- Coloring Page #102 - Puss in Boots by Charles Perrault
Once upon a time, there was a miller who bequeathed to his three sons all that he possessed: the mill to the first, the donkey to the second, and to the youngest, only a cat. The latter was dismayed by his meager inheritance when the cat began to speak and promised to make his fortune if he provided him with boots and a bag. Having become the famous Puss in Boots, this cunning feline set out to accomplish extraordinary feats in service of his master, whom he passed off as the Marquis of Carabas. Thanks to his cunning and intelligence, Puss in Boots managed to trick a terrible ogre by challenging him to transform into a mouse, then devoured him without mercy. He thus seized the ogre's castle and all his riches, which he generously offered to his master. In this scene from the tale, we witness one of the most famous moments where Puss in Boots, proudly perched on the ramparts of the conquered castle, bids farewell to the defeated ogre who attempts one last time to escape by ladder.
On this magnificent coloring page, you will discover the famous Puss in Boots in all his splendor with his bright orange fur and mischievous smile that shows his satisfaction at having succeeded in his plan. His elegant brown hat adorned with a superb green feather floating in the wind gives him the air of a noble adventurer, while his famous red boots make him renowned throughout the kingdom. The pink ogre with a grimacing face and disheveled black hair wears a white shirt and blue pants striped with red, his brown shoes reflecting his condition as a simple forest dweller. The brown stone castle with thick walls and well-drawn battlements rises majestically, with its wooden ladder that provides access to the ramparts where our feline hero proudly reigns.
