- Coloring Page #455 - The Three Wise Men (Magi)
Here is a lovely coloring page of the Three Wise Men, also known as the Magi, important figures in the Christmas tradition. According to the Gospel and popular stories, they were three scholars from the East who followed a bright star in the sky to find baby Jesus, born in Bethlehem.
Each one carried a precious gift:
- Melchior, often shown with a white beard, offered gold, a symbol of kingship.
- Caspar (or Gaspar), usually with a brown or reddish beard, brought frankincense, used in religious ceremonies.
- Balthazar, often represented as a king from Africa, offered myrrh, a fragrant resin used for healing and honoring the dead.
These three gifts carried deep spiritual meaning, which is why the Wise Men are still celebrated today on Epiphany, January 6th. In this coloring page, you can brighten their royal robes, golden crowns, and the shining star guiding them through the night.
