- Coloring Page #234 - Mysteries of the Moon and the Bats
Hold on a second! Don't scroll away just yet! Look up there... See that enormous full moon? Yes, the one that looks a bit like a giant wheel of cheese hanging in the sky. (A magical wheel of cheese, obviously.) And flying right across it? Bats! Lots and lots of bats!
But wait... what are they doing? Excellent question. Some people say they're heading home after a long night of adventure. Others are convinced they're competing in the World Halloween Bat Acrobatics Championship. Who's right? Nobody really knows. And that's half the fun!
Do they look scary to you? Not really, right? With their tiny silhouettes darting back and forth in front of the moon, they almost look like performers in a nighttime air show. In fact, if one of them suddenly did a loop-the-loop or started flying upside down, nobody would be surprised. Bats have a reputation for doing things their own way. Let's be honest for a moment: Halloween without bats would be a bit like a pumpkin without a smile. Or a ghost that forgot to say "Boo!". Or a witch who misplaced her broom and had to walk everywhere. It just wouldn't feel quite right.
When coloring this Halloween Coloring Page, you can imagine a deep purple sky, a rich midnight blue background, or even a few mysterious clouds drifting across the moonlight. The moon itself could shine in buttercup yellow, vanilla yellow, or golden yellow. As for the bats, they can stay charcoal black... but if you decide they need silver wings or dark purple highlights, that's perfectly fine too. (We promise not to tell the Bat Council.)
If you enjoy this moonlit adventure, be sure to visit this Black Cat on a Rooftop Under the Full Moon, watch this Halloween Witch soaring through the night sky, discover this mysterious hand rising from a haunted graveyard, or dare to approach this Haunted House with a Spooky Smile. Just don't be surprised if a few bats decide to follow you along the way! So grab your crayons and get ready to color a Halloween night filled with bats, moonlight, mystery, and imagination. The moon is glowing. The wings are fluttering. The show is about to begin!
